We are very proud to announce that our user interface design has won first place in the Crestron Construct the Future 2025 international competition. In competition with design teams from all over the world, it was our layout for conference rooms that was deemed the best. There was a lot to fight for, as the winning UI was to be presented at InfoComm 2025, which is being held in Orlando, Florida – one of the most important AV industry events in the world.
Crestron Construct the Future 2025 international competition - what was the task?
The competition task was to design a functional, aesthetically pleasing and fully responsive screen interface for corporate spaces. The key was to show how a modern interface can integrate naturally with advanced AV systems, lighting control, air conditioning, blinds and room booking, while maintaining maximum transparency and ergonomics.
UI for conference rooms that matches the interior
Modern conference rooms have undergone a huge transformation. Today they are refined spaces, designed by top architects, often inspired by trends from Milan, New York or Tokyo. Natural materials, sustainable lighting, elegant minimalism – all create a high-end aesthetic that speaks the language of contemporary design.
Unfortunately, too often the user interfaces installed in these halls look as if they stopped a dozen years ago. Overloaded with functions, illogical, lacking harmony with the environment. We wanted to break through this dissonance.
Modern Crestron interface designed with interior aesthetics in mind
From the beginning, we made a clear assumption: the user interface should be an integral part of a modern interior – not only a tool, but also an aesthetic complement to the space.
We followed the latest global interior trends, analyzed the conference room designs of top architects and design offices. The interface design was created in the spirit of consistency with modern corporate architecture – with attention to rhythm, proportion, light and structure.
The color scheme of our winning interface was no accident
In the project, we consciously abandoned random colors in favor of a palette inspired by the latest interior trends. Instead of digital gradients and bright contrasts, we reached for colors that build confidence, calmness and visual coherence with modern office architecture.
Our selections are based on Pantone View Home + Interiors 2026 and Pantone Viewpoint Colour – Brainpower reports.

- Argan Oil (Pantone Home + Interiors 2026 – Ancestral)
Use in interface: base background and neutral elements (e.g. inactive buttons, status bars, menu background).
This deep, natural shade of brown brings visual warmth to the interface. Argan Oil alludes to virgin materials – wood, leather, earth – and helps create a sense of coherence with an interior that is dominated by natural architecture and modern minimalism.
It makes the interface look not like a digital overlay, but like an integral part of the physical space.
- Montana Grape (Pantone Home + Interiors 2026 – Ancestral)
Use in the interface: action buttons, active states and selections.
Montana Grape is a color that carries modernity and focus. The deep, extinguished purple is elegant but unintrusive. We used it where the user makes a decision – clicking, switching, ending a meeting.
This shade is eye-catching, but not distracting. It accentuates features without dominating the rest of the interface.
- Lolite (Pantone Brainpower palette)
Use in the interface: informative color – prompts, system messages, subtle accents.
Lolite is a cool, fresh blue – a shade that supports cognition, concentration and a sense of order, according to the Pantone Brainpower report. In our interface, we used it as a signal: something new, something important, something that requires attention.
Its presence gives the interface a lightness and balances the warmer colors of the Ancestral palette. It allows the user to experience a visual space that is both functional and welcoming.
- Chili (Pantone Home + Interiors 2026 – Ancestral)
Use in the interface: alerts, critical actions, meeting completion, error messages.
Chili is an intense, energetic red with earthy tones – expressive yet sophisticated.
In the interface, we use the Chili color sparingly and deliberately to signal situations that require immediate attention or to draw attention to key user actions, such as End Meeting.
Unlike the classic “warning red,” Chili has more subtlety to it. It’s a color that fits perfectly into the aesthetics of modern, elegant office spaces.
Ergonomics and simplicity of conference room control
Functionally, the interface has been designed for maximum usability. The main screen contains only the essentials: the time, the name of the room, and quick access to key functions – AV systems, lighting, air conditioning, blinds and room reservations.
Each function has been laid out in a logical and intuitive manner – so that even a person using the panel for the first time will immediately know what to do. This approach minimizes stress, saves time and improves the comfort of meeting participants.
